Curry, spaghetti, caramel and other caked-on messes can be a nightmare to clean. If you aren't scratching the metal with a scouring pad, you're destroying your sponge on the bottom of the burned pots. But it doesn't have be that way.

In the video above by Buzzfeed, we learn the simple trick that will save your sponge and still get your dirty pots and pans gleaming. All you need is some hot water and a piece of paper towel — then before you know it, the dirt is gone and your arm isn't even sore.
