H&M Launches Fashion Recycling Week
H&M is teaming up with London College of Fashion's Centre for Sustainable Fashion to launch the first nationwide Fashion Recycling Week in the UK. Students from the fashion school will create window installations based on British cities using clothes donated through H&M's garment collecting initiative. Designer Arnold Scaasi Dies At 85
Designer Arnold Scaasi died early Tuesday at New York-Presbyterian Hospital of cardiac arrest. He was 85. Scaasi specialized in made-to-order clothes which were worn by first ladies, movie stars and socialites, and was responsible for the flimsy lace pantsuit designed for Barbra Streisand's Oscar appearance in 1969, when she won for "Funny Girl" in a tie with Katharine Hepburn. Fans Petition For MAC To Launch Limited-Edition Aaliyah Makeup Line
An Aaliyah-inspired makeup line could be coming soon. Fans of the late R&B singer are petitioning for cosmetics company MAC to launch a limited-edition makeup line inspired by the looks of the songstress, who passed away in 2001 after a plane crash. Using the hashtag #AaliyahForMac and an online petition, fans are asking for eyeshadows, lipsticks, lip liners, glosses, contouring and highlighting products, beauty powder, false lashes and eyebrow pencils. The Cosmopolitan Censored Cover Saga Continues
After three huge grocery chains (Rite Aid, Food Lion and Hannaford) have declared they will start censoring newsstand copies of Cosmopolitan due to the racy headlines displayed on the covers, the "Today" show decided to do a mock-up of what the censorship would look like.
