"Get off the beach!" exclaimed a man as a large iceberg broke up and triggered a series of large waves off King's Point, N.L. on Tuesday.
A video posted to YouTube by Jason Griffiths this week caught the incredible show by nature.
Last year, Wanda Stead shot a video from a boat of an iceberg breaking up and sending swells that had her screaming.
Icebergs are a popular phenomenon along the province's coasts, which can be seen via land, kayak or boat. Many are concentrated in an area known as Iceberg Alley, which goes from the Labrador coast to the northeast end of Newfoundland.
They make for pretty pictures and videos. But they can also be hazardous.
Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism warns people watching icebergs to stay at a distance of at least twice the icy structures' height or length, whatever is higher, to avoid dangers such as falling ice or waves.
