Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutique Launches E-Commerce Store

Canadians have a new beauty site at their fingertips.
Shoppers Drug Mart

Attention all Canadian beauty lovers, Shoppers Drug Mart's beauty section is finally going online.

The retailer officially launched an e-commerce website -- beautyBOUTIQUE -- on Wednesday, giving we Canucks 24 hour access to some of our favourite beauty brands.

“In addition to having access to a large assortment of beauty products online, customers can earn Optimum points with every purchase," Shoppers Drug Mart president Mike Motz said in a press release. “We wanted to ensure that our customer would get the same great experience in-store and online -- anytime, anywhere, through any channel.”

The site itself is pretty simple. A top navigation bar allows you to choose anything from brands, makeup, skincare and nails, while each tab takes you to another home page. Once you choose a sub category, like blush, you can narrow your results down to formulation type (like cream or mineral based), shades and preferences (sensitive skin or paraben-free).

Just like the regular retailer, brands include everything from Clinque to Benefit to Stila to Elizabeth Arden and Lancome. As of now, the site offers free shipping if you spend $75 (just like Sephora), but also 8,000 Optimum points with your first purchase. But unlike Sephora, however, you can pick up some Canadian brands like Vasanti and Lise Watier Cosmétiques at this site.

Happy shopping!
