The 23-year-old is getting ready to compete at Red Bull's BC One North American Finals at the end of August in Orlando, Florida. He's one of 16 competitors from the U.S. and Canada battling it out for a ticket to the Red Bull BC One World Finals in Rome. Past winners include Kim Honk-Yeol "Hong 10" and Dutch maestro Menno.
Put, a Toronto native, has won several tournaments and is known for his stylish, original, and graceful b-boy moves. Illz tells HuffPost Canada that he started breakdancing at 12 years old. He never thought he'd make it into the prestigious RedBull competition, but he's super stoked to be representing the 6ix.
Good luck, Illz! Canada is cheering you on!
