It's been over 20 years since Sherry Blackledge wrote an emotional letter to her adopted daughter Brooke, to be read on the day she tied the knot.
That day finally arrived on March 7, when Brooke married Tyler Zugg, and saw just how much her mother and father care for her.
The touching moment was captured by videographers The Film Poets and posted to YouTube just under two weeks after the wedding, but it started trending online this week.
In it, Sherry explains how she and her husband Craig adopted baby Brooke in 1994, and how she wrote the letter as the 18-month-old girl slept in her bed.
It then shows Brooke opening a gift to find the letter inside, printed on a piece of her own mother's wedding dress. This is what it says.
"Our Dear Little Baby Brooke,
As I write this you are sleeping soundly in your baby bed. You are 18 months old.
We just want you to know how very much love and happiness you have brought to us. You have made us a truly great family. A little precious baby girl to me and Daddy and a baby sister to Brian.
Before me and Daddy were married we always said we wanted a little boy and a little girl. When we were dating, we said if we had a little girl she would be a little Brooke. You are our little Baby Brooke.
Brooke, we just want you to know that you are very special to us and that God picked you extra special and he sent you to Mommy, Daddy and Brian.
We love you
Mommy and Daddy"
Brooke told The Huffington Post that everyone in the room was tearing up the moment she read the letter. It was the sight of her crying father that had her sobbing.
"There isn't a word for the emotion I was feeling at this point," she said. "If someone could come up with a word that encompassed excited, humbled, speechless, joyful, shocked and genuinely loved, then that would be the word to use."
Brooke and Tyler, who live in Laurel, Miss., are expecting their own child in January.
And she's already thought about writing a letter to her or him, that they can only open on their own wedding days.
