Just when we thought bubble nails were taking over the nail art world, we learned about this new manicure trend: aquarium nails.
Now, the name isn't quite as literal as some may think -- there are no fish involved (at least, not yet). Instead, the style modelled after an aquarium involves injecting glitter and water (or baby oil) in between a special double-paned artificial nail to mimic the effect and movement of sparkling water.
Those who want to get even more creative can add polish and jewels on top to create a true "under the sea" effect, as seen below:
Essentially, they're just like a snow globe, but in your nails.
And while aquarium nails aren't exactly new, they've recently gained more traction after a video from Tony's Nails in Wichita Falls, Texas, made rounds on Facebook. So far, it has been viewed almost 25 million times on Vietnamese talk show 2! Idol's Facebook page.
So, aquarium nails? Would you try them? Let us know in the comments below!
