Over the river and through the woods to Stanley Park he goes!

Vancouver's famous downtown deer has found himself a new hangout in the city's finest park.

The young buck — who has his own Twitter account — was spotted roaming around Stanley Park earlier this week.

The public is asked to not approach the buck — as his kicks can pack quite a punch — and are reminded not to feed him.

Wildlife experts say deer that get too habituated to getting fed by humans won't be able to fend for themselves.

"For the safety of the deer and the people, it's best to just keep your distance," Dan Straker of the Stanley Park Ecology Society said to CBC News.
