Porn Sounds Erupt From Student's Laptop. But The Joke's Not On Him.

The class just looked so boring.

A math class erupted in laughter when porn-like sounds came out of a student's laptop at the University of New South Wales in Australia.

But the joke was on the class the whole time.

A video posted to YouTube on May 7 shows students receiving a calculus lesson when the room is suddenly filled with moaning sounds.

The camera then turns toward a student who realizes he's forgotten to plug his headphones in. He then runs out of the class as his colleagues laugh and applaud.

The video, by prankster Jamie Zhu, forms part of a compilation titled "Awkward Uni Situations."

The porn was a clever prank, but the students' reactions were real, he told The Daily Mail Australia.

Zhu planned it by scouting lectures before finding one that "looked so boring" that the students would enjoy a little entertainment, the website reported.

"I love making funny videos and entertaining people. I especially love creating awkward situations and watching people's reaction to them," he told The Daily Mail.

"Awkward Uni Situations" also includes segments in which Zhu makes an intimate phone call in a library, and repeatedly falls and drops books all over himself.

The video has drawn just under 175,000 views.

Zhu isn't a student at the University of New South Wales, though he is studying sports science elsewhere. But his real dream is to be a comedian.

This isn't the only time that an awkward situation in a university classroom has turned out to be a prank.

A video that was posted to YouTube in 2008 shows a teacher destroying a laptop during an evaluation.

The teacher then casually informs the class that the laptop and the evaluation were all part of an April Fool's joke.
