North Vancouver Bear Cools Off In Backyard Pool

Don't mind if you do.

Even a bear's gotta find a way to beat the heat.

Tony Diering spotted a black bear taking a swim in his North Vancouver pool on Sunday night, and it turns out that the animal is actually a bit of a regular visitor.

"He'd been by about a month ago, trying to get at our bird feeder. So we took the food out of the feeder and then we went on vacation," Diering told The Huffington Post B.C.

"But while we were gone, he pushed our fence down and kept doing it."

The Dierings had just returned from their trip when they spotted the animal again — but this time, it did something different. (Watch video above.)

"We saw him looking for food, and when there wasn't any, he just hopped in the swimming pool and sat there a bit," Diering said.

After a while, the creature popped into the adjoining hot tub for a quick soak, and then continued on his way — presumably feeling rather refreshed.
