Why Women Live Longer Than Men

It comes down to hormones.

We're all aware women tend to live longer than men, and now one study from Stanford University has seemed to figure out why.

According to the video above by Eyeopener TV, the study — which was conducted on mice — found that estrogen was able to increase blood and brain stem cells in female mice. The study also concluded male mice lived longer when they were given this hormone.

In an interview with Time magazine, Tom Perls, founder of the New England Centenarian Study at Boston University said menstruation could also be one of the reasons why women tend to live longer.
