Sexual assault suspect sought in Langley gas station incident

Langley police are looking for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a gas station worker on August 9 in the 19800 block of Fraser Highway.

Police say the man, who seemed intoxicated, came up behind the woman while she was eating her lunch around 8 p.m. PT and touched her inappropriately.

The woman pushed him away and he fled on foot. Police say there was a delay in reporting the incident, which meant police dog services were unable to chase the man.

The suspect is believed to be East Indian, in his mid-20s, with brown hair styled in a similar way to Elvis, brown eyes and a goatee.

He is described as approximately five feet six inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, and wore jeans and a dark blue shirt with stripes. He was carrying a black backpack.

Anyone one with any information that may assist police in their investigation is urged to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers as follows:
