An 80-year-old man found dead in a Pickering home Tuesday night was murdered, Durham Regional Police have confirmed.
Police were called to a home on Memory Lane shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a sudden death.
Responding officers found John Murray, 80, dead in the house. His body showed signs of "obvious trauma," police said Wednesday in a news release.
A post-mortem concluded that Murray's death was a homicide.
No arrests have been made.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who has knowledge of Murray's activities prior to Tuesday night.
