New Apple Pencil, iPad Pro's US$99 Accessory, Ridiculed On Social Media

"I can't wait to ruin my teeth on that pencil."

Steve Jobs may or may not have cringed at one of Apple’s new products, but people on social media are definitely doing so.

At its new product launch Wednesday, the tech giant revealed the Apple Pencil, a pressure-sensitive stylus designed to work with the upcoming 12.9-inch iPad Pro, according to The Verge.

The accessory will cost US$99 and be available with the iPad Pro in November.

Jobs famously dismissed the idea of a stylus.

“Who wants a stylus? You have to get them and put them away and you lose them. Yuck,” he said at the Macworld conference in 2007.

But while Apple’s co-founder may or may not have approved of his company's version, many on Twitter were quick to ridicule the item’s simple branding.
