Fake Tide To Go Commercial On Gay Marriage Needs To Happen

We would love to see this ad on TV.

It's the kind of advertising we wouldn't want to skip through.

In a spec ad by director Mark Nickelsburg posted to his Facebook page last week, this 31-second advertisement is not just good brand positioning — it's also a message to all anti-gay marriage supporters, especially after the recent news of Kentucky clerk Kim Davis refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples.

"First a clerk in Kentucky, and now a church lady in Los Angeles! This same sex couple faces yet another obstacle on the way to marriage equality in this commercial I directed," Nickelsburg wrote on his Facebook page.

The ad, which features a gay couple walking into a church, has a bit of a twist to it. The key hint: it's really an ad for Tide To Go sticks.

And although the company hasn't said anything yet, Tide did run ads featuring a gay couple arguing about laundry in 2014, Time notes. So hopefully, we could also get to see this ad on TV soon.

Watch the ad above and let us know, do you think we'll ever see this on air?
