Tatiana Maslany, Amy Schumer 'Attack' Each Other, Are 'In Love' On Emmys 2015 Red Carpet

They're so in love.

Emmy nominees Amy Schumer and Tatiana Maslany are in "love," and they cannot stop talking about each other.

"I just attacked her," said Schumer, to E!'s Ryan Seacrest, minutes after meeting up with Maslany at the Emmys. "We're in love."

The two first connected over Twitter back in July after receiving their respective Emmy nominations. After congratulating each other online, Maslany told etalk the exchange left her starstruck.

"When I heard she liked the show... I lost my mind," said Maslany, in a phone interview with etalk. "I didn't know what to say. I'm so in awe of her and think she's so talented and just to be seen by her is insane to me. I just respect everything she does so so hugely and so to get any kudos from her is like the ultimate compliment."

The Regina native is nominated for her command of her many clone characters on "Orphan Black," and Schumer received four honours for her work as a writer, actor and director on her sketch series "Inside Amy Schumer." Like Schumer, Maslany also has a comic background, though hers is in improv, as opposed to stand-up.

Maslany and Schumer finally met for the first time on the Emmy red carpet on Sunday, and were captured hugging on-camera during E!'s Live from the Red Carpet Emmys show. Prior to their warm embrace, Maslany told Seacrest she's "just kind of head over heels for [Schumer]."

"It's wacky, no I'm really happy to be here, it's awesome," said Maslany to Seacrest, about her first nomination and appearance at the Emmys.

The 29-year-old actress also had plenty to say about the Emmys heat wave, and her sleek, ivory Bouchra Jarrar couture pant suit.

"I'm so happy in it," said Maslany, who also styled her hair with a long, low ponytail. "I love it, I wish it was cut-off shorts."

Meanwhile, the "Trainwreck" writer and star also wowed in an olive green strapless Zac Posen gown, and kept her hair pulled back with loose waves. Schumer's Posen selection is not a surprise, however, as she sat front row at his New York Fashion Week show on Monday night.

While we hope both of these women will go home with a golden trophy, we can take solace in knowing they will each be leaving with a new best friend.
