Central Tech stabbing: 3rd suspect turns himself in

A third suspect in a stabbing that happened earlier this month at Toronto's Central Technical School has surrendered to police.

Police say the 16-year-old boy turned himself in just before midnight on Sunday. There is no word yet on charges.

The stabbing happened on Sept. 8, the first day of fall semester classes, and sent a 19-year-old man to hospital with a collapsed lung.

The victim was stabbed during an argument between two groups of people, composed partly of Central Tech students. The stabbing occurred on school property, but not in the building.

Police say the victim had tried to stop an attempt to rob two other men of their cellphones.

Last week police charged a 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man in connection to the stabbing at the school, located at Bathurst and Harbord Streets.
