Woman in life-threatening condition after restaurant shooting

Toronto police are looking for a man who entered a downtown restaurant Sunday night and fired multiple shots, seriously injuring two people.

Police were called just before 10 p.m. to 100 Simcoe Street just south of Adelaide St. W., location of Michael's on Simcoe.

The victims, both 28, were rushed to hospital.

Police say the female victim's injuries are considered life-threatening, while the male victim is expected to survive.

The shooter fled on foot.

Police did not release a description of the suspect but are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crimestoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
