It was revealed on Wednesday that the legendary calendar, known for its racy, nude photos of the world's most famous models, is set to make a groundbreaking change for this year's installment of the project. Shot by female photographer, Leibovitz, the pages of the 2016 calendar will feature 13 intimate and clothed portraits of women who are shaping and changing society today.

Yoko Ono, Patti Smith, Serena Williams, Fran Lebowitz, Amy Schumer, Tavi Gevinson, Ava DuVernay, Natalia Vodianova, Agnes Gund, Kathleen Kennedy, Mellody Hobson, Shirin Neshat and Yao Chen are all set to to take on the title as Pirelli Calendar girls.

Tenni superstar, Serena Williams, was one of the first to reveal her collaboration with the prestigious promotional tool for the Italian tire company. Nineteen-year-old blogger, writer and Rookie Magazine editor, Tavi Gevinson, also took to Twitter to share the exciting news.

In a release, Leibovitz explained, "I started to think about the roles that women play, women who have achieved something. I wanted to make a classic set of portraits. I thought that the women should look strong but natural, and I decided to keep it a very simple exercise of shooting in the studio.”

The full calendar will be revealed on November 30th in London.
