Foreign policy is the theme of the day as three federal leaders are set to reunite on stage for Monday's Munk Debate.
Conservative Leader Stephen Harper, NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair and Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau are expected to defend their foreign policy visions at Toronto's Roy Thomson Hall in the televised matchup.
Canada's increasingly aggressive touch with world affairs has not gone unnoticed, according to CBC News' Derek Stoffel. Last year, for example, Harper made headlines after he shook Vladamir Putin's hand, leaned in and said, "You need to get out of Ukraine."
The Canadian government's ardent support of Israel and dedication to fighting Islamic State by militaristic means — contrast with the country's folk reputation as a peace-abiding nation — are other topics sure to pop up during the debate.
