Cindy Crawford Talks About Being Bullied Growing Up

Cindy Crawford is one of the most well-known models in the world, but her life wasn't always so glamorous.

Crawford's new book entitled "Becoming" is filled with photographs and personal essays about her life. In it, she talks about her experiences being bullied as a teenager for wanting to become a model in her hometown of DeKalb, Illinois.

On one occasion, two girls set up an elaborate prank that left her running and feeling "punched in the stomach." (Watch the video above for the full story.)

The book also reveals that Crawford's trademark feature caused her a lot of anxiety. "I hated my eyebrows and my hair," she writes. "The mole was the thing I got teased about and was embarrassed about, and that set me apart."

She even asked her mom if she could have it surgically removed, but decided to keep it when her mom told her she'd have a scar. And thank goodness she didn't!
