IKEA Debuts Fashion Collaborations At Milan Fashion Week

Get ready to host the most stylish dinner party your friends have ever seen.

From the makers who brought Ryan Reynolds to his knees trying to build a baby crib, comes a fashion show like no other.

Yes, an IKEA fashion show really happened.

On Tuesday, the Swedish furniture company, who have recently developed a number of new collections with fashion designers, stepped into untouched territory by debuting two fresh fashion-inspired home lines at Milan Fashion Week: GILTIG by Kate Eary and SVÄRTAN by Martin Bergström. Set for a spring 2016 release, the designer's lines were inspired by their personal fashion tastes.

Eary, who has previously collaborated with Kanye West and has been co-signed by G.O.O.D music, included aprons, dinnerware, cushion and lampshades in her colourful runway show that took its influence from street style.

Bergström's presentation was inspired by India and consisted of bed sheets, rugs and glassware, using an intense colour palette of black, grey and white.

IKEA live streamed the event on their YouTube channel and encouraged viewers to talk about the show using the hashtag #IKEAfashion.
