Demi Lovato Strips Everything For Powerful Nude Shoot In Vanity Fair

Lovato said she "never thought" she would be comfortable with a nude shoot.

It was only two days ago that Demi Lovato's topless cover for Complex magazine was revealed on social media.

Today, we're seeing a little more of her, for a very powerful reason.

Lovato, the singer/songwriter behind tracks such as "Give Your Heart a Break," appears in a nude photoshoot for Vanity Fair that's meant to show people you can "love the skin that you're in."

When photographer Patrick Ecclesine met her at the Greenwich Hotel in New York, he was unaware that he was going to shoot her in the nude — without any clothes, makeup or retouching.

Lovato came up with the idea, seemingly on the spot. She explained that she wanted to show the side of herself "that's liberated, that's free."

She elaborated on her reasoning in a video that was posted to YouTube on Friday.

"In the past I suffered from eating disorders and I basically went from hating every single inch of my body, to working on myself and trying to figure out ways to love myself," she said.

Lovato said she "never thought" she would have been in a place where she felt so comfortable in her body that she could do a nude shoot.

She looks absolutely stunning in Ecclesine's photos.

It can take a lot of courage to show so much of yourself. We're so happy for Demi Lovato that she was able to find it.
