A selection of offbeat moments from the campaign trail Sunday:
GILLES DUCEPPE AND HIS BEAUTIFUL BLUE EYES
Trudeau was the subject of some good-natured ridicule after he mistakenly referred to Bloc Quebecois Leader Gilles Duceppe as "my love" during the French-language debates on Friday. "It's been a long campaign, hasn't it?" said his wife, Sophie Gregoire. "He does have beautiful blue eyes. But when your husband starts calling Gilles Duceppe 'Mon amour,' you know it's been too long."
RACING TOWARDS THE FINISH LINE
Justin Trudeau's oldest kids — son Xavier and daughter Ella-Grace — have a game they play on the Liberal campaign plane. Before it takes off, they put two Lego cars down on the passenger aisle pointing toward the back of the plane. As the aircraft takes off, its nose rises, sending the two cars rolling down the aisle toward the back. The car that makes it furthest, wins.
