Jays' Buehrle to start against Rays, reach 200 innings for 15th straight year

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Mark Buehrle is going to reach 200 innings on the season.

Buehrle will take the mound on short rest Sunday afternoon as the Toronto Blue Jays close out the regular season in Tampa Bay against the Rays.

The 36-year-old Buehrle has pitched 200 innings 14 seasons in a row and has thrown 198 innings so far this year.

Media reports say Buehrle will pitch two innings against the Rays and then announce his retirement after the game.
