If we found ourselves surrounded by Doritos and cookies, we would have thought we'd gone to heaven.
But for a 22-year-old from Austintown, Ohio, it was another sign that he was just too damn high.
Police in the town outside Akron were called to a residence at 5:22 p.m. on Oct. 2, after receiving a call from a man who said he was feeling the effects of marijuana a little too strongly, Fox 8 reported.
When an officer arrived, he was directed to a room upstairs, where he found a man "laying on the floor, in the fetal position ... surrounded by a plethora of Doritos, Pepperidge Farm Goldfish, and Chips Ahoy Cookies," said a police statement obtained by The Smoking Gun.
The unnamed man said he didn't need medical treatment. But he did direct the policeman to a car where the officer found roaches, a jar containing marijuana, a pipe, rolling papers and other items, said the San Francisco Gate.
Fox 8 posted audio of the 911 call associated with the incident. In it, a man can be heard telling a dispatcher he's "too high" and that he "can't feel anything."
He's now facing charges of drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession.
People who have smoked marijuana report an increased appetite because of brain stimulation from THC, one of the drug's ingredients, Smithsonian.com reports.
The substance triggers the brain's endocannabinoid system, which is connected to memory, emotions and appetite.
In this case, it seems it was a little too stimulated for the user's own good.
