OTTAWA — It's another low key day on the campaign trail as the party leaders trim their schedules before the final spurt toward election day next week.
The NDP's Tom Mulcair continues to drum up support on Vancouver Island with stops today in Nanaimo and Courtenay.
The New Democrats have the most seats on the island, but the Conservatives have a sizeable presence, and Green Party leader Elizabeth May also holds a seat there.
Mulcair vowed Saturday that he would turn Vancouver Island orange.
The Harper campaign is rolling through the Greater Toronto Area today as the Conservatives try to shore up their support in that critical battleground.
Liberal leader Justin Trudeau and May have no public campaign events today.
