Halloween may not be here just yet, but it looks like we already have a clear front-runner for best costume of the year.
Eighteen-year-old Australian teen Tjitske Van Vark, is causing a frenzy on Tumblr with her "Sexy Gandalf" costume. The outfit was for her school's "Muck Up Day," an Aussie tradition where seniors dress up on their last day of school and pull pranks.
Tjitske posted the photo of her get-up on her Tumblr page, "Linklings," writing, "Our last day of school involved dressing up and I took it upon myself to be the sexiest one there."
The photo was an instant hit, and within three days, Van Vark received "countless" marriage proposals and her follower count "more than tripled." She was even featured on Tumblr's front page -- or at least, part of her was.
In a follow-up post, Tjitske listed a few of the responses she found funniest since her OP: "the people that are slightly turned on and very confused," "the unanimous agreement that this is the only acceptable sexy halloween version of a costume" and "most importantly of all, the thirst for Gandalf."
However, it seems as though the Internet appreciated the costume a lot more than her classmates.
She told Buzzfeed, "That might have been because most of them were very hungover from the previous night’s parties at that point."
Either way, Tjitske is happy with the viral sensation her outfit has become.
"Honestly, nothing is better than seeing people exclaim 'I want to fuck Gandalf' because of me!" she told Buzzfeed.
'Nuff said.
