'Jerry Maguire' Kid Is All Grown Up

This makes us feel very old.

Who could forget the cute kid from “Jerry Maguire”? The adorable little boy charmed us back in 1996 when he starred opposite Tom Cruise. Fast forward 19 years and that little boy is all grown up – making us all feel very, very old.

On Thursday, child star Jonathan Lipnicki turned 25 and we couldn’t help but marvel at how different he looks now! No longer donning his quirky signature glasses from the film, Lipnicki has become a handsome, mature young man.

Lipnicki was just five years old when he landed the role of Ray in “Jerry Maguire.” He then went on to star in a number of family flicks, most notably “Stuart Little” and “Like Mike.”

Today, Lipnicki continues to act, but makes very strategic decisions on what roles he takes. “I never wanted to become a gimmick,” the 25-year-old told The Insider in 2011. “I want longevity in my career and that's been the most important thing so I've just been really picky with what I've chosen to do.”

Lipnicki currently has five films in the works that are set to be released next year. Specifically, he just finished filming a comedy called “Loserville,” which stars Matt McGorry from “Orange Is The New Black” and Jamie-Lynn Sigler from “The Sopranos.”

Speaking about his successful transition from child star to adult actor, Lipnicki told The Huffington Post: “I think the problem with a lot of child stars and why they don’t make the transition, they think, ‘Well, the world owes me something.’ But the world doesn’t, the world doesn’t owe you anything. You need to continue to improve your skills as you grow up.”
