TORONTO — The UFC has reinstated Jon (Bones) Jones.
The MMA organization suspended Jones in April, stripping him of his light-heavyweight title after a hit-and-run accident that injured a woman in Albuquerque, N.M., where he lives and trains.
Jones (21-1) subsequently pleaded guilty to a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident and was granted a conditional discharge.
Under terms of the plea deal, he will serve 18 months of supervised probation and be required to make undergo community service.
The UFC says Jones is eligible to return to competition. There is no word yet on the timing of his comeback fight.
Daniel Cormier (17-1) won the 205-pound title in Jones' absence.
