Her ability could have a big impact on many people's lives.

A Scottish woman’s strange ability could change the lives of people with a debilitating disorder.

Joy Milne, from Perth, Scotland, can smell Parkinson’s disease, according to the BBC.

Her husband died in June of the disease, but six years before he was diagnosed, she noticed a change in his smell, what she called "a musky smell.”

Scientists carried out a study to see if Milne could actually detect Parkinson's.
