LONDON — Chelsea's poor Premier League form only got worse on Saturday with a 2-1 loss at West Ham that saw an angry Jose Mourinho sent to the stands.
Mauro Zarate gave West Ham the lead before Gary Cahill equalized for 10-man Chelsea, which had Nemanja Matic sent off in the first half. Andy Carroll headed in the winning goal in the 79th.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa lost its sixth league game in a row in a 2-1 defeat at home to Swansea to heap pressure on Villa manager Tim Sherwood.
Jamie Vardy took his scoring form to nine goals in seven games as Leicester beat Crystal Palace 1-0.
Norwich lost 1-0 at home to West Brom and Watford won 2-0 at Stoke.
