Edmonton Eskimos sign international running back Nic Grigsby

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos have signed international running back Nic Grigsby.

Grigsby rushed for 890 yards and nine touchdowns last year in his rookie season with Winnipeg and Hamilton. He helped the Tiger-Cats advance to the 2014 Grey Cup by rushing for 93 yards and two touchdowns in Hamilton's 40-24 win over Montreal in the CFL East final.

He struggled through injuries this season, recording 59 yards on 10 carries and 16 yards on three receptions, before being released by the Ticats.

Prior to the CFL, Grigsby signed as an undrafted free agent with the NFL's Miami Dolphins. He also spent time with the Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
