Calgary Stampeders defensive end Charleston Hughes has a broken hand and will miss at least the final two games of the CFL's regular season.
The football club announced the injury Wednesday on Twitter. Hughes ranks second on the team in sacks with 10 behind Freddie Bishop III, who has 11.
The Stampeders (12-4) rank second in the West Division with a game in hand on the Edmonton Eskimos (13-4).
Calgary is assured of hosting the division semifinal. The Stampeders need to win their last two games and for Edmonton to lose Sunday to Montreal to claim first place and the division final.
The Stampeders are at home to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday before their regular-season finale Nov. 7 on the road against the B.C. Lions.
