Bruins' Marchand, Blues' Allen, Oilers' Hall claim NHL stars of the week honours

NEW YORK — Boston Bruins left-wing Brad Marchand, St. Louis Blues goaltender Jake Allen and Edmonton Oilers left-wing Taylor Hall have been named the NHL's stars of the week.

Marchand had four goals and two assists to lead the Bruins to three wins over the week.'

The highlight came in a 3-1 win over Florida on Friday, when he scored two goals, including the game-winner.

Allen went 3-0-0 with a 0.98 goals-against average, .963 save percentage and one shutout to backstop the Blues to three victories. His week included his sixth career shutout — a 26 save performance in a 2-0 win over Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

Hall had two goals and five assists over three games with the Oilers. his week included a goal and two assists in a 5-4 loss to Calgary on Saturday.
