Jesse Grant McMullen Escapes From Saskatchewan Prison

The 20-year-old man is serving a three-year sentence.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Police are looking for a prisoner who escaped from the Saskatchewan Penitentiary at Prince Albert on the weekend.

The Correctional Service of Canada says the inmate could not be found during a count Sunday evening in the prison's minimum-security unit.

Prince Albert city police and the RCMP were contacted and an arrest warrant was issued for Jesse Grant McMullen.

The 20-year-old man is serving a three-year sentence for a number of offences, including robbery and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The correctional service says it's investigating how McMullen got away.
