Raspy Balboa, Rapper, Writes Song About Edmonton Oilers Player Connor McDavid

"Who skate like a champ? Connor McDavid."

Edmonton Oilers' star Connor McDavid has been living up to the hype surrounding his entrance into the NHL, already being compared to legends like Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby after just a few weeks on the ice.

Now, the Rookie of the Month has his own rap song.

Raspy Balboa, who is from Port Colborne, Ont., recorded "Connor McDavid (Welcome to the NHL)” to celebrate the freshman's success, releasing it online on Oct. 27.

The rap begins and ends with game commentary from McDavid's goals, and features lines like "Who skate like a champ? Connor McDavid/Who light up that net? Connor McDavid."

One YouTube commenter wrote: "If I was [Connor], I would play this song everywhere I went... even entering the grocery store."

Ball, er, puck is in your court, McDavid.
