PM Justin Trudeau May Now Be Known As 'Fresh Prince Of Rideau'

"At 24 Sussex, born and raised ..."

Bel-Air over Philly, Rideau over Sussex -- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is now, officially, the Fresh Prince of Rideau.

On Tuesday night’s episode of the CBC’s “This Hour Has 22 Minutes,” comedian Mark Critch spit some rhymes to give us a recap of the situation with the now-sworn in prime minister’s accommodations.

He set the scene, much like Will Smith did in the original theme song, with a few choice moments from Trudeau's life. The “couple of guys who were up to no good” were Stephen Harper and Mike Duffy, who’s been caught up in a spending scandal. And he got in “one little fight” with Patrick Brazeau .. but for charity.

We finally land at 24 Sussex Drive, where much-needed renovations have the Trudeaus opting for the Rideau Cottage instead while repairs are underway.

Critch says “call ya later” to Mike Holmes, making a jab at the home-improvement reality show rumours that were circling about the traditional residence of the prime minister

This morning, Trudeau led the walk to the official swearing-in ceremony at Rideau Hall along with his wife, Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau and his cabinet ministers.

If only they took a cue from Critch and walked to the Fresh Prince theme song.
