Brennan Wayne Guigue identified as suspect in sexual assault investigation

Toronto police have released the name and photo of a suspect in connection with a sexual assault investigation last week in which a 28-year-old woman was assaulted at gunpoint in the area of Yonge and Alexander streets downtown.

Police say they are looking for Brennan Wayne Guigue, 45, of Toronto. He is considered armed and dangerous and police are asking anyone who sees him to not approach him, but to call 911.

He is described as five feet nine inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

The attack happened last Friday night. The victim was walking downtown near Alexander and Yonge streets at around midnight when the suspect approached her and pulled out a gun, Toronto police said.

He then took the woman behind a building, sexually assaulted her and ran off, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
