People has spoken!
The "humble British heartthrob," as People describes him, succeeds Chris Hemsworth, who graced the issue's cover last year.
And while the 40-year-old soccer icon and father of four has been a sex symbol for decades, he tells People he's not sure he's deserving of the title.
"I never feel that I'm an attractive, sexy person," he says. "I mean I like to wear nice clothes and nice suits and feel good, but I don't ever think of myself that way."
However, he does think the award is a "huge honour" and says he's "very pleased to accept."
We say, well deserved? And in case you need convincing, here's definitive proof Becks is, indeed, the sexiest man alive:
He looks devastatingly handsome in a suit
Just check out that smouldering gaze
And oh-so-dapper in a camel coat...
And let's not even get started about what's underneath...
We mean, COME ON.
Even when he's "off-duty", he looks effortlessly cool!
His post-workout pics are worth drooling over
As are his photos on the soccer field
And check out that headband!
And those tattoos...
He's a great hubby to Victoria
And a devoted family man
He's a dedicated UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador
He's even won over Anna Wintour!
And we can't forget his hair...
Slicked down '90s goodness...
Glorious long soccer locks
Even shaved it looks good!
(Though we have to say, we're glad he's grown it since then).
Basically, we love you David Beckham, for all that you are
