Jennifer Lawrence Adds Director Title To Her Résumé With "Project Delirium"

She has also been named EW's "Entertainer of the Year."

Jennifer Lawrence was recently named Entertainment Weekly's "Entertainer of the Year," and as it turns out, the star already has new projects up her sleeve.

Speaking with the magazine, the 25-year-old "Hunger Games," actress said she recently picked up a directing gig.

“I’ve signed on to direct something called 'Project Delirium' — it’s based on this article about mental warfare in the ’60s, like an acid experiment gone terribly wrong,” Lawrence told EW.

The article Lawrence refers to is a 2012 New Yorker piece called "Operation Delirium" about experiments on soldiers during the Cold War, and the mental and physical health problems that followed.

“It’s funny, I’ve wanted to direct since I was 16 and always thought I should start making steps towards that,” Lawrence continued. “If I had tried to do it earlier, I wouldn’t have been ready. Now I actually feel ready.”

Following her latest Hunger Games installment, Lawrence is also set to star in an upcoming "X-Men" movie as well as a 2016 sci-fi movie called "Passengers."

And the more we hear about this Adele-Emma Stone-JLaw girl squad, the more we hope we see a lot of all three of them in 2016.

No set date for "Project Delirium" has been announced yet.
