This week we stay outdoors and meet another Instagrammer who loves capturing this country's amazing scenery. Meet @HikeBikeTravel. Here she is in her own words:

My name is Leigh McAdam and I am the founder of www.hikebiketravel.com – a travel and adventure blog where I can share my passion for the outdoors. I live in Calgary and love the city for its youthful energy, community spirit and proximity to a fantastic array of outdoor adventures. Over the last few years I've had the privilege of exploring a huge swath of Canada for a book I wrote called Discover Canada: 100 Inspiring Outdoor Adventures. When I'm not in front of my computer you can find me paddling, cycling, hiking and backpacking — the more remote the better.

I love taking landscape shots — mainly because most of my travel takes me into the wilderness where landscapes are big, bold and beautiful.

For wildlife get the eye in focus. It's what brings the photo to life. And give your subject room to move forward.

I got into photography because I needed better quality photos for my blog. I took a number of courses at SAIT in Calgary and still hope to take more. I need the discipline of a course to improve. Now travel isn’t complete without a camera.

I love this winter scene after a fresh dump of snow in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. Looking at the picture brings back memories of a fabulous skiing day in mid-January with some great women.

There are some big names I love - for example Paul Zizka @paulzizkaphoto. He's so creative and his use of light especially at night is mindblowing. I wish I could follow him for a day and learn his techniques; and the places he visits are always so beautiful.

On a smaller scale I love the adventures of @domcarson and her rescue mutt. I can relate as I have had so many wonderful adventures with our dog — a rescue from the Caribbean.

I have a dream of visiting all the national parks in Canada. There are some in the Arctic that see only a handful of visitors each year.

This photo takes you to Auyuittuq National Park on Baffin Island, the most northerly one I've visited so far. If you are interested in more of the top outdoor adventures in Canada, check out my blog or purchase my book at www.hikebiketravel.com.
