Trudeau Burger Created By Canadian Chain

It's good looking, too.

It's good-looking, and comes with a side of weed...s.

Ontario burger chain The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro has come up with a Trudeau burger, inspired by our brand-new prime minister.

Although it is a "joke burger," you can actually order it off the menu, which is topped with red peppers, poutine, and a side salad (which the chain calls "weed ... s").

Bruce Miller, The Works' head of marketing and development, says the chain doesn't take itself too seriously. He says the burger's ingredients were inspired by "what's popular in popular culture."

"We've got a new burger, a new prime minister, it's topped with red peppers because he's Liberal, with poutine because of his great French Quebecois heritage, and a side of weed...s because weeds is what our salad offering is called and in this case, it absolutely comes with a side of weeds," he says.

The Trudeau burger has been printed on menus across The Works locations — except for Ottawa restaurants, where a different joke burger is already quite popular.

"Historically we had a very favourite joke burger for our guests in Ottawa, and they like to make fun of Don Cherry," Miller said.

"As Sens fans, they feel that Don Cherry is a little biased toward other Canadian NHL teams."

The Don Cherry burger comes with "sour grapes, moldy cheese & a stale bun."
