You can now run through 'The 6' with your woes in your new Nikes.
Earlier this week, Nike hosted Toronto sneakerheads at the Soho House where they revealed the Nike Air Max 1 "The 6," a shoe dedicated to the city. Thanks to Toronto's most influential person, Drizzy Drake, "The 6" (an ode to the city's two main area codes, 416 and 647) has become somewhat of a pop culture phenomenon around the world thanks to the 6 God's hit "Know Yourself."

Designed by Canadian Erin Cochrane, the Air Max 1 features a wide, white sole, a black leather body and waxed laces. The purple sockliner is inspired by the Aurora Borealis (you know, the Northern Lights), whereas the inside of the shoe features Toronto's most notable structure, the CN Tower, with the maple leaf and 'The 6' lining the shoe's tongue. But the sneaker's best feature? A special coating to protect your feet from the snow and slush during the winter.
It doesn't get more Canadian than that.
So, why Toronto? The Toronto Star reports that Nike chose the city because it "earned pop-culture accolades thanks to a cultural renaissance that spans sport, music and entertainment."
The sneaker will be available online at Nike.com and in select Toronto-area stores, including in Community 54, Livestock, Haven, Exclucity and Lost and Found, on Dec 6th.
