GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. — RCMP in Grande Prairie, Alta., say they have recovered more than $1 million in stolen property from a rural residence in the area.
Mounties say the acreage is well-known to police and has an extensive history of property related offences.
More than 40 stolen vehicles have been recovered along with a large quantity of work-related items such as tools and generators.
RCMP say investigators are in the process of identifying the lawful owners of the recovered property but due to the sheer volume, it won't be quick.
Mounties are asking any recent victims of theft to keep police file numbers or other information pertaining to the stolen items easily available so it speeds up the process if they are contacted by police.
The investigation is ongoing but so far no arrests have been made.
