Steven Tyler Cut His Grandson's Umbilical Cord For Daughter Liv Tyler

And the Aerosmith frontman cut his grandson's umbilical cord in the delivery room, Liv Tyler revealed.

Well, who'd have guessed.

Liv Tyler has revealed that her father, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, cut her son's umbilical cord in the delivery room.

The new mom gave birth to Sailor Gene Gardner on Feb. 11. He was born six weeks early and Tyler's fiancé, David Gardner, couldn't make it to the hospital in time, the actress said in an interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" (Watch above.)

Her dad, however, arrived just moments before the birth and ended up cutting the cord.

"It was actually very sweet," Liv Tyler said of having her father in the hospital room. "We were laughing a lot."

The former model added that she loves having her dad visit Sailor and her eldest son, 10-year-old Milo.

"He's kind of like having a wizard as a grandfather. It's not a normal routine. We don't see him that often, but when we do it's like this magical wizard that comes to the house."
