It’s official! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have named their baby boy Saint West. The reality star announced her son’s name on her website and app on Monday.
The announcement comes two days after Saint was born, weighing eight pounds, one ounce. The name was a natural fit for the couple as they consistently called their little one saint throughout Kardashian’s pregnancy, considering the difficulty she had conceiving, a source told Us Weekly.
Saint West has no middle name, despite sources previously claiming it would be Robert, in honour of Kardashian’s late father Robert Kardashian.
It’s no surprise that the couple has chosen such a unique name. An insider previously told Hollywood Life that during the pregnancy, the couple agreed they “do not want it to be a normal name or spelling.”
The Wests’ delayed name reveal is becoming a tradition. Last month, Kardashian revealed they chose their daughter North’s name at the last minute, which seems to be what happened this time around.
“It’s like the last thing that Kanye and I did when North was born,” the 35-year-old mom said. “We didn’t name her for like seven days. I feel like it will just come to us.”
