While options for social networks abound at the end of 2015, there's no question the place the most people go is still Facebook. Which is why when the site releases its list of the top topics of conversation from this year, it's a pretty good indication of what people cared about.
From our perspective, it's also a great way to catch up on anything you may have missed this year — namely, the TV shows you need to binge watch over the holidays and winter, and movies you need to see before awards season starts in earnest in January. Oh, and of course, the songs you want on your playlist at New Year's.
Check out Facebook's global lists for the biggest entertainers, and the most talked about TV shows and movies below. Whether it was thanks to furious fandom (hello "Game of Thrones"), nostalgia ("Jurassic World!") or shock (McDreamy!), people loved to take to FB to talk about what they were seeing.
