Alberta RCMP charge woman with manslaughter after injured woman dies of injuries

MASKWACIS, Alta. — RCMP have charged a woman in the death of another woman who was found injured near a reserve south of Edmonton.

Christy Ramone Crane, who was 25, was found alive on Dec. 6 near the Samson Cree First Nation.

She died in hospital the next day and an autopsy later determined that her death was a homicide.

RCMP say following an investigation officers arrested Noreen Patricia Crane of Maskwacis, who is 43.

She has been charged with manslaughter and is to appear in Wetaskiwin provincial court on Thursday.

RCMP did not release any further information about the victim or the accused.
