Model Bar Refaeli has reportedly been arrested for tax evasion.
According to AP, the 30-year-old Sports Illustrated model and her mother, Tzipi, were "briefly detained" in her native Israel Thursday, following a "months-long investigation." Refaeli is accused of failing to report millions of dollars in income earned abroad as well as tens of thousands of dollars in "celebrity benefits," according to the BBC. These "benefits" include free use of Range Rover and Lexus cars in exchange for promotional photographs of her in the cars.
Police also say the former girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio attempted to hide that she was an Israeli resident by living in houses registered in her mother and brother's names, as to not declare income earned abroad.
Refaeli denies committing any offense.
"There is no drama. In the end, this is just a civil dispute. No-one cheated anyone else. It will all clear up soon," Refaeli's lawyer, Giora Aderet, told the NRG news website.
The Agent Provocateur model, who married Israeli billionaire Adi Ezra in September, was released on $193,000 bail, and must seek permission from authorities to leave the country, along with paying a $64,000 bond.
